AWRA-WA Annual State Conference: Rural Domestic and Municipal Water Supply
Call for Lightning Talks Abstracts
What are Lightning Talks?
What is AWRA-WA’s Criteria for Lightning Talks?
Lightning Talk Sessions
We will provide sufficient time for one Lightning Talk at the end of each of the first three sessions. Abstracts are currently being accepted for the following sessions:
- Session 2: Intersection of Growth Management Act and the Water Code – A paradigm shift is occurring between free and unregulated rural water supply resources under the groundwater exemption, and consideration of legal water availability for all uses. Cultural perception and policy are changing as we adjust to this new paradigm.
- Session 3: Current Rural Domestic and Municipal Water Supply Tools and Programs – A number of tools and programs are in place to establish legally available water resources. We will implore those tools and programs, focusing on their differences and similarities.
If you are interested, please submit the following abstract materials to Steve Nelson (snelson@rh2.com) and Tyson Carlson (tcarlson@aspectconsulting.com) by Monday, September 19 to be considered by the Conference Committee:
