Robin Nimmer met Larry Mattson, the new director of Washington Department of Ecology’s Office of Columbia River, a few years ago as they were working together on a project. Fast forward to a LinkedIn message about a month ago that Tom Tebb was retiring and Ecology had hired Larry. Robin was instantly excited – so happy for him and for Ecology. AWRA-WA has some exciting upcoming events in store! The Washington section and CWU Student Chapter are co-hosting a second Cle Elum Fish Passage Facility Tour on Monday, May 19th. Noah Wentzel will be presenting on recent water-related activity from the Washington State legislature at a virtual lunch meeting on Tuesday, May 27th. And later this year, AWRA-WA will be holding it's Annual State Conference on Tuesday, October 14th with speakers and panel sessions focused on water resources management past, present, and future. Event details and registration links.
