AWRA-WA Fall Networking Event for Students and Early Career Professionals

Location: Great Room, UW Waterfront Activities Center (WAC), 3710 Montlake Blvd NE, Seattle WA 98195
Please join us for a networking event for those in or interested in the water resources field. Students in all majors can learn about possible careers in this field, and early career professionals can enhance their connections and knowledge of possible career paths. Experienced professionals can meet and provide guidance to the next generation of water resources professionals. The event will consist of a panel discussion, followed by a speed-networking session where students and early career professionals can interact with and ask questions of a variety of experienced professionals. Experienced professionals will include scientists, engineers, and legal and policy professionals working on water resources issues in the Pacific Northwest.
This is a joint event sponsored by the AWRA UW chapter and the AWRA-WA Mentorship Program. The goal of the AWRA-WA Mentorship program is to connect young professionals and students in the field of water resources with experienced professionals who share a similar specialty and are interested in building a mentoring relationship.
Event details:
6 - 6:30 pm: Social with pizza and beverages
6:30-7 pm: Panel discussion
7 - 8 pm: Speed-networking session

Driving Directions From I-5/SR 520:
1. Take the Montlake Blvd. exit and head North.
2. Go across the Montlake Bridge, staying right.
3. Once across Bridge, turn right at first stoplight.
4. Pass gated E-12 lot on right, proceed to E-19 hourly lot.
5. WAC is only building in back, behind Husky Stadium.
From Seattle Children's/University Village
1. Head South on Montlake Blvd, toward SR 520.
2. Turn left at stoplight just before Montlake Bridge.
3. Pass gated E-12 lot on right, continue to E-19 hourly lot.
4. WAC is only building in back, behind Husky Stadium.
