Join us for the AWRA-WA dinner and annual meeting at Ivar's Salmon House! We will be hosting a board meeting, connecting with water resources professionals, enjoying dinner and drinks, announcing board election results, and staying informed with the latest:
Noah is the Water Resources Program Legislative Coordinator for the Washington State Department of Ecology. He will be presenting bills introduced and enacted during Washington’s 2023 legislative session concerning water resource issues. Highlighting this year’s session were two Ecology agency-request bills relating to drought resilience and Walla Walla River integrated planning, both of which were passed by the legislature. Other water resource bills introduced this year related to water resource mitigation, municipal water right transfers, family farm permit transfers, and water infrastructure investments. Noah will discuss how these bills advanced through the legislature and how they may impact water resource management in Washington.
We will kick off the evening with the December Board Meeting. AWRA-WA members are welcome to join the board meeting in person. Results of this year's AWRA-WA Board Election will be announced prior to Noah's presentation. AWRA-WA members in good financial standing should have received an email from ElectionBuddy to vote for next year's Board of Directors. If you did not receive an invitation to vote but feel you should have, please contact waawra.webmaster@gmail.com before December 10th for assistance.
In-Person: Registration includes a meal from Ivar's wonderful dinner selection and one beverage of your choice. Additional drinks may be purchased separately. In-person registrations are limited, so we encourage you to register early and share this event with colleagues and friends!
